Fortune Knocks

Grumpy, you get out of bed on a Saturday morning, and all you want to do is have a cup of coffee.

Just getting to the kitchen, the doorbell rings. You hesitate. You don't want to answer. Your hair's a mess, your slippers don't match. You say, 'what the heck'.

You're greeted by a guy in a black suit with sunglasses, and a limousine with blacked out windows waiting on the street. He asks your name. Confused, you stammer and give it anyway. He hands you an envelop, and turns and walks away.

Too early to think, you shut the door and open the envelop. It's a receipt for a deposit to your bank account for 1,000,000 dollars.

What do you do?

First of all. Find out where it came from.

Good thing to do, for sure. Could there be something to do even before this?

Thank GOD, you're finally heard my prayer?

Go back to sleep, content, no more sleepless night thinking about financial situation...*phew*

Coffee always comes first. Definitely. And, lots of it. Of course, if I'd had a million dollars coming to me, I'd probably have an inkling where it was coming from. So, yes. After consulting the bank, I would book a week trip to Santorini (b/c it's quiet, and solitude can be found. Have to have the vastness of the water to look at), sit on the balcony, wander around, and figure out how I would invest it.

Hmmm Bright and brilliant. I don't know about Santorini, but if I had this good fortune, I would do the same, for the same reason. Disappear in remote tranquility.

Well, I guess I'm going in a different direction.

There is spending once and then there is spending perpetually.

If that $1M were put into some kind of earning vehicle, it could sustain your lifestyle forever.

In my case, it would be a start on the long journey I claimed for myself to the Pleiades Star Cluster 300-400 light years away.

I'm on this journey - building businesses that can be automated and accumulated into greater and greater cash machines and assets.

I'm going after $100B and the building of space travel infrastructure - a sustainable path this time.

Boldy Going...

I'd take a lighter and burn that thing while I contemplate. Afterall, if I've been doing fine without it I'd rather not risk the complexities it may bring. Besides, when I finally do make up my mind it'll be too late. :D
